Updaters D&C helped the completion of social action “We Remain People” in which free meals were distributed to families and people in the greater Thessaloniki area.
“WE REMAIN PEOPLE” … … and despite COVID, we come to the streets to help our fellow human beings!
At Monday 4 May 2020,
the Corps of Greek Scouts P.E. Thessaloniki,
the Association Estia Triteknon N. Thessaloniki,
the Association of Parents and Guardians of Primary Education of the Municipality of Chalkidona,
the Volunteer Group “We offer from the heart”,
on the initiative of lawyer Stella Valani (who also took charge of the event),
distributed free meals to families and fellow citizens affected by emergencies.
All measures to protect public health were followed in full, but the most basic rule was sending messages of solidarity!
The distribution of meals to individuals and representatives of families was done at the following points:
11:00 a.m., Delphi, Orestos Park
11:45 a.m., Agia Varvara, Cleanthous with Lambraki
13:30 pm, Chalkidona
14:40 pm, Kalochori, 2nd Dim. School
15:14 pm, Kordelio, Karaiskaki 24
Sponsors of the initiative were:
the restaurant “Academy”,
the “Discount Markt” supermarkets,
AutoLine Nikolopoulos,
traders of the Vegetable Market, such as Mr. Christos Tsiamis
merchants of the Popular Markets, such as Mr. Adam Karakitis.
